Portsmouth STEM Academy is a K-12 chartered nonpublic school providing hands-on learning, individualized instruction, and a supportive school community in Portsmouth, Ohio. Ohio school-choice scholarships make a PSA education tuition-free for eligible students.
About Us
Portsmouth STEM Academy is a K-12 chartered nonpublic school located in Portsmouth, Ohio. Since opening in 2014, PSA has grown from a small group of students and educators into a thriving school community serving families throughout Portsmouth and the surrounding region.
Our school combines rigorous academics with hands-on learning, creativity, collaboration, and individualized support. Although science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are central to our educational approach, PSA is committed to educating the whole child. Students also participate in language arts, social studies, fine arts, theatre, physical education, and opportunities that strengthen communication, leadership, problem-solving, and resilience.
Small classes allow our teachers to know their students as individuals. Instruction is responsive to students’ academic levels, learning needs, interests, and goals. Our educators work to create a supportive environment in which students feel known, challenged, and encouraged to grow.
